FREE MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS DVD for adolescents and teens

Suicide, depression, anger, anxiety, learning disabilities, ADD and eating disorders are all challenges facing our youth each day. The Junior League of Charlotte, Inc., Mecklenburg County, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and WTVI joined forces with Emmy-award winning producer Linda Midgett for the award-winning and Emmy-nominated documentary Through My Eyes, produced in Charlotte, which is a must see program for young people, parents and all of those concerned about the youth in our community.

Through My Eyes
is a 30 minute documentary that discusses the mental health issues of youth and features teens and their families sharing their emotional and mental health challenges and how they sought to overcome them. The film aims to stamp out stigma, raise awareness and improve community-wide support for youth who struggle with various mental health related challenges.
In addition to the documentary, the DVD features a WTVI produced panel discussion featuring host Joey Popp interviewing leaders from the Charlotte area faith and mental health communities as well as Through My Eyes producer Linda Midgett and Madison, a teen whose story is featured in Through My Eyes.
